Daytime Support

$35 per hour (4 hour minimum)

Daytime support is focused on active caring and adjusting to the family’s needs.

Hours are flexible between 9am-9pm.

  • Maternal & partner support: I focus on recovering from birth, baby bonding, and assisting parents through any challenges they encounter.

  • Breastfeeding support: I offer guidance and support during the critical early days of breastfeeding

  • Newborn care & education: I help families learn how to diaper, feed, bathe, and soothe their newborn

  • Nourishing meals: I provide meals that are tailored to support the recovery and well-being of new parents.

  • Light housekeeping: laundry, prepping meals, running errands, etc

  • Sibling care: I provide extra care to older children, helping them through this transition.

  • Pet help: I help parents focus on giving their fur babies love & attention.

  • Community resources: If desired, I can refer a network of respected local professionals such as lactation specialists, support groups, physical therapists, and much more.

Overnight Support

$35 per hour (8 hour minimum)

During an overnight shift, I care for the baby so parents can prioritize their sleep.

Hours are flexible between 9pm-7am.

  • Breastfeeding support: I can bring your newborn to you to breastfeed. Alternatively, I can help set up breast pumps.

  • Bottle feeding support: I can handle bottle feeding, allowing you to enjoy an uninterrupted night of sleep

  • Newborn care while you sleep: I will burp, change, swaddle, and soothe your baby to sleep after feedings.

  • Light housekeeping: I can (quietly) assist with washing bottles, tidy up changing stations, etc.

My goal is to support as many families people as possible.

FAQs

  • A Postpartum Doula provides non-medical support following the baby’s birth. I offer physical, emotional, and informational support during this period, which is often referred to as your “fourth trimester”. Postpartum doulas are trained in caring for a new mom, a new baby, helping with breastfeeding, postpartum nutrition, and much more. My goal is to decrease stress and increase your confidence, promoting a positive and healthy transition into parenthood.

  • Yes, we hold the baby but there’s so much more. We will clean bottles, do your laundry, draw you a bath, make you a nutritious meal, etc

    We listen & problem-solve, without judgment. We know that sometimes it’s best just to listen and – when desired – provide advice, resources, and referrals.

    We help you get more sleep (enough said).

    We can help with breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding. We can guide you on how to get a great latch, hold the baby, and provide other tips and advice. We have the best referrals for lactation consultants if desired.

  • Typically, Postpartum Doulas work with families up to 3 months after the baby’s birth, but I am flexible with your needs. I can begin care as soon as you are ready, which may be a few days after the birth.

  • I serve the Austin area and surrounding cities. A $30 daily travel fee will apply if my driving time is 30 minutes or more, one-way, from my home in the 78757 zip code.
