Hi, I’m Jackie
I come from a line of women whose passion is caring for others. My mother and 3 sisters are my inspiration - 2 doctors, a nurse, and a mental health therapist - caring is in my nature. I grew up in California with a huge extended Filipino family - I was always surrounded by cousins, aunts, and babies. After working in the tech space for 10 years, I felt a calling to help new families. I moved to Austin with my husband in 2020 and completed my postpartum doula training through DONA International in 2023.
I’m motivated to help families from every background and believe all families deserve quality support after birth. I especially love taking care of people through food. When you visit my home the first question I ask is “Did you eat?” I find fulfillment in the big and little moments of success that my clients experience and believe in giving them the space they need to process. In my free time, I love traveling, karoake, salsa dancing, and trying out new recipes.

A Postpartum Doula provides non-medical support following the baby’s birth. I offer physical, emotional, and informational support during this period, which is often referred to as your “fourth trimester”. Postpartum doulas are trained in caring for a new mom, a new baby, helping with breastfeeding, postpartum nutrition, and much more. My goal is to decrease stress and increase your confidence, promoting a positive and healthy transition into parenthood.

Yes, we hold the baby but there’s so much more. We will clean bottles, do your laundry, draw you a bath, make you a nutritious meal, etc
We listen & problem-solve, without judgment. We know that sometimes it’s best just to listen and – when desired – provide advice, resources, and referrals.
We help you get more sleep (enough said).
We can help with breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding. We can guide you on how to get a great latch, hold the baby, and provide other tips and advice. We have the best referrals for lactation consultants if desired.

Typically, Postpartum Doulas work with families up to 3 months after the baby’s birth, but I am flexible with your needs. I can begin care as soon as you are ready, which may be a few days after the birth.
